Transatlantic Connections Conference 2016

Our January 2016 Peace trip and Conference was a great success! We were so pleased to include in our group two of our Summer teen campers, Jared Miller and Emilia Bianchini, who returned to Bundoran as junior conference interns. Jared, whose first visit to Ireland was July 2015, actually presented a paper on his efforts to become a fluent Gaelic speaker since his summer camp.
Our keynote speakers included the President of Ireland, Mr. Michael D. Higgins, former Congressman and peace maker Mr. Bruce Morrison, the Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland Mr. Martin McGuinness, and the leader of the Ulster Unionist Party Mr. Mike Nesbitt. 109 people presented papers or performances, and over 500 people attended the events and panels.
